Do not remove game off HDD if you play from HDD

I bought Ix Splat I a new hard drive for his birthday as he had only a 20GB one and was also using my 20GB and having to swap them each time he wanted to play a game, so of course he wanted his usual games on the new one.

After installing MotoGP 07 on the new HDD and trying to play it it says ;

"This game can only be played on the console and HDD it was originally installed on, to play on this console delete and re-install the game"

I've done the usual things such as check the memory for corrupted files, cleared the cache uninstalled it and reinstalled it loads of times and everything else I can think of, it's only happening with MotoGP 07 (would be that wouldn't it? ) every other game seems to be OK.

We've now tried it on two consoles, three dif HDD's (including the original one it was on) and still get the same message, so I can only assume it is the game + the new dash update.

It will however play from the disc OK just not the HDD.

Has anyone else tried to reinstall the game onto the HDD since the dash update?

MotoGP 07 Ultimate Championship Weekend

Been on the road the last month trying to make a dime, so maybe this only interests me but I thought a weekend long Ultimate MotoGP 07 Championship would be something fun to do, (Preferably a weekend without the REAL championship race going on). My idea is as follows and this may be a bit drawn out so my apologies if it is.

First, maybe Mush could gauge interest in such a contest. Then, ask for a donation of $5.00/10.00 US(3.??/6.?? BP/Euro) from each racer as a prize for winner, runner-up and 10% to organizer (Mush?).

-Have 10 rooms with 10 riders and available room for spectators(would be nice to have someone spectate that could record each race with a concentration on good battles going on in each room.)

- Each room would run a complete championship with a 5 min break after every 3 races. (should take about 2 hours per room.

- Top 5 racers/per room move on with an hour break between championship battles( 5 rooms/10 riders)

- Two championship rounds per day

- Sunday the Top 4 racers/per room move on to round 3 (Two rooms of 10 riders each)

- Top 5/per room move on to Ultimate Championship

- Come up with some kind of race for any tiebreakers

- Would be nice to have 6 spectators to record final round (following top 6 riders).

- All races done with qualifying and collisions off

- Race times would be to the benefit of the European racers (6:00pm? 12:00 PM for east coast US racers?)

I'm still on the road missing the hell out of racing, but should be back next weekend.
Hopefully we can get this or something similar together if for no other reason than braggin' rights.

My feelings about MotoGP 07..

As some as you may know I never bought Gp07 when it came out for my own reasons. Well I recently bought a 360 and rented a copy of Gp07 to see what I have missed and give my thoughts about the final THQ/Climax MotoGP title...

Although Gp07 is a bit more stable than 06 its still a fall fest! I have been told many times that Gp07 is alot like Gp2. This is very far from reality as Gp07 is nothing like Gp2 at all..

I was under the impression that the game was solid online as well as a solid developed game. Well I found this not to be the case.. First problem I noticed was the horrible frame rate problem which reminded me of playing a Game on your old PC that can't handle the grafix.. Another issue was the coding for the vibration, sometimes while ripping around the vibration dedicated to the powerslide would disappear?? wth??

I was completely shocked to witness the dreaded "Unable to access leaderboards" problem.. It happened to me every time I got a PB..

I'm not trying to dig at anyone who likes MotoGP07! I'm just sharing my honest thoughts about the game so please don't get "naughty word alert"ed.

What I have found here is that MotoGP07 is nothing more than a truly annoying game to play! Nothing like Gp1 and 2!

I completely understand what has to be done to keep the bike under control and I'm not upset that I'm not instantly great at it, its more of a (Why waste my time falling for hours because of terrible physics that won't allow me to complete a fast lap) And if I do, its most likely luck..

Thats not to say you can't become consistent at Gp07 as you can. But you are not going to consistently run 16's at Mugello..

But the odd thing was on Gp1 and 2 you can easily run consistently bottomed out times once you built yourself up to that point, but Gp07 will not allow you this as its physics are just trying to represent reality to much and end up ruining the fun factor..

The one refreshing thing is the lobby's do have a better Oldschool feel to them that is extremely important! Which I can't deny Climax of a great job in that department.. This is also not to say it is with out fault, but way better than any currant title to date!

When I first started to play Gp07 I felt like maybe it is better than Gp3 or 06 as it is a bit more stable, but once I got up to speed the falling began so it was just a case of me being off the pace and not realizing that nothing has changed..

So I remain stern in my opinion that Gp1 and 2 were the end of the greatest GPs, and if it wasn't for a sloppy thrown together online concerning Capcoms offering then I'd honestly go for that game as I feel its better interms of Handling over Gp3/06/07....

The funny thing is I spent some of my time racing around with SilentF1, UnlistedKiller, (2 top Gp1 riders) and WhoDa, and everyone of them were complaining as much as I was about how much Gp07 sucks!

Falling is not fun! Yes you can tweak the bike to act more stable but even then your gonna fall because once you make the bike stable you have to powerslide harder and you fall anyway.. This game is all about either coasting around the tracks and preforming very soft powerslides and using low gearing so when you do slide you have less chance of eating it, OR

you can go for it and try getting extremely lucky at finishing ONE lap of a time you know is possible by doing what use to be the rule... Now the limit is a big (?)

So if Falling is your idea of fun then you will love MotoGP07, but if you like fare game play then look else where.. I honestly think MotoGP 07 Sucks Elephant stick!

There is a game that reminds me of Gp07 in the unfare gameplay department, Ghouls and Ghost! Yes Ghouls and Ghost is such a great game but so annoying to complete because of awful physics..

So to wrap this up, I'm glad my mad dash around town to buy Gp07 only resulted in a rental as I will be returning it gladly!

So if anyone wants to give Gp08 by Capcom another try I think I may rent it, but looks like Race Pro (the watered down PC title) will be all there is for me?

Could I? Would I? Should I?

I need a little convincing please...

I've been thinking about the old days of Climax GPs and powersliding my @ss off and how much fun I had.. Now I am toying with the idea of getting an Arcade/Japer 360 only to play GP!

I have some concerns like, will a 256 internal card be enough to support Gp07 only? ( please don't tell me to get a hardrive) I only wanna spend the least amount possible so when the 360 melts I won't feel bad left with a bunch of stuff I don't need!

Also Who plays Gp07 religiously? Like everyday? And are the scoreboards all messed up? And are there weekly boards?

Please answer as I would like to at least get something going here!

The way I see it I can get ---

1. JermzGR
2. Unlistedkiller
3. LilBudda
4. WhoDaFunk
5. Daz????
6. Joe?
7. Poo?
8.Curve?

THQ and Climax back for Motogp 09??

Hey I don't know if this has been said before or it is some sort of mistake, but I was under the impression that THQ and Climax were out of the MotoGp series..

I was just browsing the Aus xbox forums and came across this

Basically it is just a list of some games up for release this year, but when I got up to Motogp, I definitely did a double take...

I posted here because I know alot of you guys are pretty in the know with these sorts of things and I know the internet is not always the most reliable source...So it could just be a misprint..

P.S I still can't believe how many people are still playing 07...I got on last night and there was a full room going and it was awesome...I guess its all we have until something better comes along...Motogp 08 is laughable IMO..

BTW, that is not my avatar, this website must just give out some sort of generic one

Anyway if anyone in the know reads this, could you please confirm..Thank you

Capcom should take note of this article or just straight up hire Shawn himself. If Climax could some how accomplish this 6 years ago there is very little excuse why these next gen games still are leaving people with something to be desired. It is hard to believe that this demo has been a benchmark for so long and it would seem that nobody has been able to get it right since. What's the deal?

I was playing one of the games last night, on the extreme series, when it struck me. The extreme series features completely different and entirely fictional bikes, riders and various street circuits which have literally nothing to do with the MotoGP series. So my question is this: what's to stop THQ/Black Rock from creating a new motorcycling game based on the extreme series? It's not as if they'd need any official licence to do it, and it would be a great idea to rival other motorcycling games of its kind!

It would be great fun to race once again on those innovative street circuits once again as Bialecki and co, on a diverse range of new bikes. Maybe they could even throw in the old Sheridan circuit as a special round. What does everyone else think?

I presume as sbk is more of a sim when you induce a slide it seems to slows you down whereas in motogp you seem to go faster when you square the corners off with a slide ?

I have managed a 1:42.9 in basic mode on the demo of salt lake would this put me in good stead for any of the online races ?
So should i buy this game ? it looks preety darn good to me

1st off hello to all The original Moto GP Fans & everyone else!

Ive just recently bought the 2007 moto gp game for the xbox 360 & i am afraid to say that it needs a patch, the replays do not work very well & sometimes glitch by showing you crash when you didnt! also the A.I Needs tweaking i find that they are extremely clumsy & just knock into each other, there lap times are not what they apear to be from the A.I, The qualify times from the A.I are great but there racing times and Driving observation skills do not do them justice at all which is a massive shame! Ive been a fan of the Moto GP Games for a very long time & i never remember the issues being this bad, please please THQ & CLIMAX fix the problems With the A.I to stop them knocking into each other like Amateurs & make them More like Professional where they care about there machines & drive well like they should do? Anyway the great things about this game is that the bikes look and feel great Customization of the bikes is brilliant & the tracks look Fantastic, Extreme mode is also a Great Bonus for this game,

Sepang - I beat him by a few secods but I never registered going over the finish line - i just got a count down from 5 to 1 as if I were lagging behind.
Hi all, just got 07 yesterday and gave it a bit of a go and so far so good but just want some answers to a couple of questions.

First of all i had a couple of races online last night and was doing ok but then my bike came to a sudden halt in the middle of a straight when i was going flat out???? this happened a couple of times. Is this common fault?

Will my seed still drop when i race online like it does on 06 even though i aint in a ranked race

Also whats this slipstream indicator i keep hearing about cos i havnt seen it yet. Do i need to turn something on?

I had a look through the site for answers but couldnt find the answers so sorry if ive repeated old issues.

just like to say what a great site this is and the setup advice helped me loads on 06

cheers in advance
