The Ultimate Social Driving Experience
Burnout Paradise’s initial release was back in January 2008, it broke away from the Burnout franchise by taking the battle for first place from the streets to the entire city, the free roam game play and 8 player free roam has ensured that Burnout Paradise is a pure\ racing contender for the months to follow.
Criterion weren’t happy with just that, and wanted to make sure Burnout Paradise continued to grow and expand with some of the most impressive downloadable content for a game to date, all for the price of nothing. Now, just over a year ahead of the launch there’s a lot of new and interesting stuff already out for the game, Burnout Paradise Ultimate Box gives both offline and new players to the Burnout Paradise fan base an up to date hit on EA’s hottest racing game around meaning you can crank up the heat and burn your way through the city without having to download anything extra.

The games fantastic visuals and 60+ game play set the standard for arcade racing games even with some of the newer titles hitting the shelves, the intense racing and incendiary battles and collisions on the road assure this game a life-long guarantee of fun, both offline and online.

Burnout Paradise The Ultimate Box wraps all of this download content up into one package, adds a Party Mode and enhances the original game giving you the option to now restart an event, day/night allowing you to drive/ride from morning to night and easier control over the vehicles among other things, giving you a great deal for your money.

The Ultimate Box includes Burnout Cagney and the Burnout Paradise Bikes, with the option to download more packs. The loading screens give you informative information about the vehicles, which give you something to read whilst it’s loading. To gain your bike licenses you take part in events and by passing these move up from learner, you now also have the option to choose between bikes from the Junkyard.

Party Mode is the ultimate offline multiplayer Burnout experience and caters for 2-8 players through quick fire challenges, using one controller. With a choice of random, skill, stunt or speed modes, each with quite a few different challenges. It gives you the option to edit the player’s names. It is fun and a great addition as it allows players of all skills to join in. Party Mode scores the players, naming one as the winner at the end of the rounds.
Burnout Paradise The Ultimate Box would be great value for those who do not already own Burnout Paradise, but if you do then most of the download content can be downloaded from Xbox Live. The Legendary Cars Pack is already on the Xbox Live Marketplace and Criterion have much more content still coming in the next few months including more cars and the infamous and promising extra island. With the promise of more downloadable content to come Criterion Games certainly know how to keep their games alive.
