This weekend I attended an event organised by Microsoft in a rather nice hotel. We had the chance to play a lot of upcoming games and also celebrate the release of Gears of War 2 with Matt Hancy and Maury Mountain from Epic, who are rather good at their own game.
We started off the weekend by having tons and tons of time with Gears of War 2 in fact all evening! with some rather nice exclusive prizes up for grabs, we split into teams and the fight was on!





The next day we had quite a few games to see and the day was started off with an introduction from Graeme Boyd (Aceybongos), who introduced the publishers who were on hand to talk us through their games and answer any questions we may have.



Throughout the weekend we had a lot of hands on time with the games and during the next few days I will be posting up previews of several of them, on hand to play were;

We also had Robin Burrowes from the Xbox NXE team and a surprise visit from Rockstar games, who came to demonstrate GTAIV on Windows Live and to show us the new video editor.












The Saturday night was reserved for XBOX ROXX Night with special guests Jimi Spandexx and the Spandexttes, with Guitar Hero World Tour and LIPS, but unfortunately we had to leave before it started, but I'm sure they had a great time!

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, got to play a lot of awesome upcoming games and chat to many publishers and website owners, look out over the next few days for more about the games.
