What do you get if you mix some Super cars, Ben Collins, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit and some awesome food? a heavenly day out that's what! and that's just what we had when we took a trip to Longcross Test Track in Chobham last Wednesday for the European launch event for Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit.

The event was introduced by Roll Deep, recent winners at this year’s Urban Music Awards and Ben Collins. Ben Collins (formally The Stig) was there doing some secret filming, which will become clear in a day or so, but we also got to ride in some rather nice super-cars around the test track, as you can see from the photos lower down this article, the roar of the engines is something words cannot describe, they are also very low and difficult to get in and out of. Along with playing the game, competing for two Xbox 360 Slims with a time trial and stuffing ourselves with some gorgeous food it all made it into a day which will stick in our memories for a long time.

Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit is being released 16th November and is stepping back to its roots, Criterion Games is bringing back the thrill of the Police chases along with road traps such as stingers and weapons, but they have also added a suite of connected features called Need for Speed Autolog that enables players to connect, compare and compete with their friends effortlessly. In fact if you enjoy high speed car chases you certainly won't be disappointed. The game runs very well, looks very polished and is great fun to play. As we found out from the time trialling which a developer from Criterion Games was demonstrating, there are also short cuts to take which will help with your lap times.
