firstly, the intro is quality.
secondly, its clear that this game is a huge step forward from the last - I liked the last alot, but unfortunately other than the fact that there were some good races to be had online and it was "fun" - as a bike game, it never really left me like "WOW" like some older titles had.
So 10/11, imo...
The Good:
Whole game just feels more polished - like it wasnt made in twenty minutes lol.
The sense of speed is there still - even more so than last years, but it somehow just doesnt feel as 'tacky' as 09/10.
Graphics / Framerate etc very smooth and no issues yet.
HUD is MUCH MUCH better than last years.
Bikes are customisable - okay no where near to the extent of SBK games, but its a big big step in the right direction.
The Bad:
Not much ive found to dislike yet except for the fact that the bikes feel almost too reactive - ofcourse, i havent played around with the settings yet and im sure that can be changed / or i'll get used to it - but it is so flickable, it almost feels like the 125s did on the last game.
But the MAIN, BIG issue for me on this game are the brakes!! Or what brakes should i say! Ok - so 09/10s brakes were almost laughably unrealistic. 200mph down the straight at Mugello and BANG, the bikes pulled up within about 20 feet. On SBK, when it first came out i remember thinking jesus, these brakes are non existant - but on this, it honestly does sometimes feel as though they are having no effect WHAT SO EVER!!! They needed to be addressed from last years game - but its like theyve gone miles the other way and believe me i reckon my Specialized Sirrus Comp could pull up from 80 mph quicker than these £1million plus machines with ceramic brakes lol.
This again is something im sure we can get used to - but seriously, it is frustrating - and with out the option to up the brake power in the bike settings it is something we're gonna have to. Frustrating really cause everything else - so far - after just a short time on it, feels really good.
Looking forward to trying the 360 one later as got the demo on the PS3 at the mo from my US account...and im not a fan of the ps3's crappy pad!!!!
So - all in all a big improvement in my view. A lot to get used to - but there always is. But look forward to hearing other peoples views on the brakes as to me, they really are not powerful enough....
