This weekend at the Latchmere Leisure Centre in London, 2K Sports will hold an afternoon of shooting hoops, winning prizes and all round basketball fun to promote the sport in the UK and celebrate the launch of NBA® 2K12, out this weekend.

The UK basketball community has been invited, as well as local neighbourhoods and those with an interest in the sport at all levels. The day has been put together with the help of NBA, British Basketball, England Basketball and sporting specialists Let Me Play, with a team of coaches on hand to help young people sharpen their skills and shoot the perfect hoop. There will also be competitions to win merchandise and copies of NBA® 2K12.

"Basketball is still considered by many to be an undersubscribed sport in the UK, but there is a huge number of people that are fans of the game and want to see it thrive. We want to show our appreciation for the basketball community here and really raise the general profile of the sport," said Neil Ralley, General Manager for 2K.

The event will take place between 1:30pm and 6:30pm, with dedicated competition times, at the Latchmere Leisure Centre, SW11 5AD. All are welcome,
