Usually about this time of year we have some news about the new GP game we all wait and hope for with pins and needles underneath our backsides. I have heard absolutely nothing, zilch, nada, not a dam thing. So what is going to happen? I, as most of you want to see someone come out and knock this one out of the park. But why is it that no one is/has/able to do so? What is it that makes this game so difficult to produce? Doesn't everything already exist in the real world like handling, basic bike physics, sounds, rules, tracks with proper dimensions? My point for years now has been the sport exists, just copy it, and do it well.

I do hope we get a new GP game that represents the sport in a serious manner.

Like you say Rock it's strange that absolutely zilch has been uttered regarding MGP for 2012 or after. There's gotta be a market out there if done right.
Not really much to talk about is therePosted Image

well i have looked endlessly on youtube for any new bike games and i see nothing there, which is the norm anyway.
as we all know now the top bods at gp have bought sbk.so maybe now we may see both games come out together as a package and may i suggest, keep it sbk style(its the closest thing to a real bike on xbox and always has been!!)but let someone else to the graphics as milestone and blackbean seem to bark up the wrong tree in that respect.

this could become a benefit as on the whole, its a bigger bike game with more to keep people playing, more bikes,tracks...and too cap it off buy the tt track!!!lets not talk rights, all manufacturers are involved anyway and we dont need sponsers stickers!!!

this may be just the prattle of a simple man but its cheaper to make too and i believe it will bring bikes back to the front of online racing!!! could anyone honestly resist it?? people would go wild!!

so imagine your the gaffa now,and we know you hate to spend!! it makes perfect sense....no?

as for 2012...no game...but in 2013 we shall see,i know exactly what i want..so here's to dissapointment :claugh:

bods is slang for people..

the people who really own moto gp (not dorna) have bought wsbk..so they now own both series.

or is it the other way round,i cant remember..now im confused.

anyway both moto gp and wsbk are owned by the same people.

Yeah I am resigned to the fact that CRAPcom totally killed GP. They took the franchise and laughed at it, stomped on it, took a monumental dump on it, let it steam in the sun, let it dry, weee weeeed all over it, let it dry, picked it up like a buffalo chip and burned it. I think capcom is a joke of a company, they deserve to have their company succumb to streetfighter like people swarming upon them in total zombie fashion for what they have done to the game representation of the most prolific motorcycle racing series. If I had any more middle finger that I could stick in their face I would do it, heck I might even get surgery to add some length to that finger just for good measure.

Infront runs the wsbk front
Dorna runs the motogp front

Bridgepoint own both as off last year
But as likely as wsbk derived bikes to become the new class
Of motogp 2013 onwards I think were in for a longwait!

Points of interest for the future:

The tt organizers mike trimby (motogp top bod also tt top bod and macua top bod) r looking into a world series for road racing could include macua /nw200 etc. So there's one potential new game

Then there's the new "CRT"&moto3 motogp classes that will need representation

And by the looks of it the wsbk stable looks to be going down the sstk route 2013-2014 onwards

The good thing here peeps is that black bean milestone colaboration have good conecttions with the F.I.M (sbk / wrc & now f.I.m moto x championship games have neen entrusted to them with some success so I see strong Likly hoods of a tt and motogp game commissioned

Here's too a long wait with light at the end of the tunnel

It just amazes me how horrible this series has been treated through the years. Now each game iteration has its good points and bad points. But if one really made the correct sport representation we would all be chuffed.

Its not even like someone has to try really hard, just make the thing work as advertised! That'ld be a good start.

So that's what they meant by world ending as we know it in 2012....no MotoGP game , it can only get better now as we have nothing. Anything will be something more than nothing I guess. Capcom Did a good job right? Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image << MotoGP feeling from 1 to 10/11.

Same here. Visit here daily wishing for good news.

I'm going to buy FIM MUD eventhough I'm pretty confident it's not for me. Going to also give Trials Evolution a go, but I doubt thats going to do it for me either.
SBK Generations is the only thing I'm actually waiting forward to (besides MotoGP news). And I mean ALL the games that I know are coming this year. My gaming is really slowly dying.

Yep me too, MotoGP games been dieing for a long time now, I tryed to ignore the fact by playing MotoGP 07 till it's very last days, Even Splat stopped playing it and I thought me an him would be racing that cup cake till we 100, but I guess he put it down before the end of the sweet memories, he was like my gaming Dad I miss my gaming dad Posted Image Why MotoGP 07 because it was of the climax series and I loved playing that series 1st or last from start to finish I loved it, dont love capcoms Because All of capcoms motogp games felt sheer boring to me and Couldn't bring myself to spend time on a half baked games that my heart didn't love, And fact is bored me. I loved the Climax series and it was the best motogp game series don't care what anyone says it just was, in my opinion but you guys already knew I'd say that, hey come on this is uncagedbigben lol. The community that game carried was amazing, but Capcom kicked the life out of that. There really is no other games I'm looking forward to, Uncagedbigben has gone silver and TOPDOG is soon to follow, I don't feel any need to renew my gold anymore.

I know SBK Generations is coming out and it probably is a great game I might get it but then I'm not sure if it will hook me, I found the SBK games to not feel fast enough for me, I know it's a sim but guess it just don't engage my brains sweet spot, I don't get that fuzzy feeling when playing SBK and that's just me I guess. So would I really want to spend a lot of time on a game that I don't love, nop. I hope I get it and love it but leaderboards sadly aren't enough for me to want to play a game of any sort without love for the game itself.

Maybe Im a one trick Pony or maybe I'm just a gamer that mastered the game he loved like many of us here at XBLA it's what we gamers do.

So here it is maybe the end of my gaming days is soon, is sad because in my head I had this thing where wanted to end it the same way I started it, Wanted to ride my motoGP bike with the old crowd and the new crowd all together, Pitkins, hey joes, dans, becamerons, Pistol Petes, gammas, redline rossi's, Ste's, iggys and giggys, troutys, webbikers, splats, even mamma Mush, just like the old days. the list of names goes on and on but fact is the only way I could see that happening was to have motogp2 as a arcade game and have one last blast from the past.

Sadly this is not going to happen :(

Maybe it's time to move on i've been racing on these games too long anyways, but I didn't want it to end like this....
So guys Pete, Trouty, webbiker enjoy every minute of SBK I really hope they make a great game for you guys and everyone if you have a game you love playing, enjoy it enjoy every minute, everyone anything you love doing in life just take a step back and just soak up the moment.

All good things come to an end, I just wish I was older at the time to have appreciated how good the thing was.

a love born out of being good ben or an actual love of bikes?

i love racing bikes online, how you can stop with sbk around is beyond me..i just dont understand if you love bikes how you cant love sbk,its the best thing we have had.its just so deep your always learning, always.and isnt that a good thing?? 10 10 blah blah.the evolution of the track, the changes in how the bike handles as the track grips up.how some setups start well but fade away while others get stronger throughout the race!...its fantastic...and i refute this speed issue....we all know that when you see this in games it only lasts till you get a feel of it..

for me its all about the bike, not the name or the riders.

sbk is the best bike game we have ever had and that my part timing friends is an absolute fact!!!

the day a moto game comes out better than sbk is,im sure...far far away!!! but i relish the thought!!

but as i said before i just dont understand...i really, really dont understand.

i want too see you racing in may....no bull!!

pete

This GP genere' game, was the game that brought folks from all over the globe together. It made more friends than enemies. Look at it this way. We all know the shooter crowd, the fantasy game crowd, etc. In the GP world, just about everyone was cool to each other and had a great time pushing each other to personal bests and to the finish line. I pine for a GP game again that brings folks together in that spirit again. A real robust game that delivers instead of just over promises and under delivers. I await that day, that moment again for the brotherhood of biking to rise from the ashes.
