For anyone wo's interested, I've been tryin' out a few graphic programs, the VIDEO splitter below is very handy & simple to get to grips with. You'll need to save animations as an AVI file

Once it's in AVI format you'll need to convert it to GIF format, this below is again handy & simple

Then import the GIF into an animation program, I use

Use that in tandem with a graphic editor, I use

You'll have to experiment when dealing with resolution/file size/colours, ideally your after a finished image 160*120 & a file size of 250kb maximum
just tryin' out this GIF animator(the other trial finished), mind you it's just as well to check a few.
