Competitions

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has just been released and Xboxliveaddicts has some awesome prizes to give away!
Two winners will each win a T-Shirt, Plush Helmet, poster and a Skyrim soundtrack CD.
To enter please reply below and answer the following question;
If you could design a weapon, what would it be? what kind of powers would it have? etc (no one line answers please and obviously suited to Skyrim, no machine guns etc!)

Winners will be notified after the closing date of 5th December and our usual competition rules apply.
The next chapter in the highly anticipated Elder Scrolls saga arrives from the makers of the 2006 and 2008 Games of the Year, Bethesda Game Studios. Skyrim reimagines and revolutionizes the open-world fantasy epic, bringing to life a complete virtual world open for you to explore any way you choose.
The Empire of Tamriel is on the edge. The High King of Skyrim has been murdered. Alliances form as claims to the throne are made. In the midst of this conflict, a far more dangerous, ancient evil is awakened. Dragons, long lost to the passages of the Elder Scrolls, have returned to Tamriel. The future of Skyrim, even the Empire itself, hangs in the balance as they wait for the prophesized Dragonborn to come; a hero born with the power of The Voice, and the only one who can stand amongst the dragons.”

A small dagger, perfectly crafted. The handle must be the same weight as the blade, therefore perfectly balanced to give the greatest control to the wielder. This is a true assassin's weapon. So light it does not impact speed, enchanted with the power to make the wielder more oblivious to creatures and people alike in their area. It allows the wielder to level up their Pickpocket skill twice as quick, and has the power to kill low-level creatures with a single stab. It is not suitable for use against dragons and other large creatures. Use is mainly for densely populated areas for stealthy kills.

Would have to be something im yet to see in an elder scrolls game. A bladed flail attached to rings of daedric metal. Enchanted to be able to hit through blocks so all those enemies with shields wouldn't be able to stop its power. It's special kill animation would be like watching a fight between a watermelon and a sledge hammer.

It would be dagger like in size and shape, but with the cast of a spell or using an enchantment when you attack more blades each covered in a seperate poision, these would then inject the poison into the enemy, depending of course on what posions you used this would cause the enemy to stager and become disorientated allowing you to kill the foe or simply leave him there in a daze.

A one handed sword crafted from dragon bone or claws would be neat and once you killed a dragon that breathed let's say fire you could capture the power that let's it naturally create fire and put it into your weapon. Then whenever you slash your enemy with that sword the power will rush inside them through the open wound making them burn alive from the inside out ending with an explosion of fire that can harm other enemies nearby since the dragon's power is so strong, making your enemy pretty much a ticking time bomb.
Now if you get the frost power from the dragon the power again enters through the wound of your enemy, freezing him to death and eventually their frozen body will start shaking from the power's strength building up more inside of them until their body explodes out into shards of ice that can penetrate other enemies near him.

It would be a Daedric dagger that you could throw. If it hits an enemy it would cause you to take control of them for a short time. Either to use the enemy to attack others, or interact with world objects, or even to simply move them out of the way (ex, if they were blocking the entrance to something).
The duration of the control spell and the distance from yourself that the control would hold would depend on your Illusion magic skill.
The distance of the thrown dagger would depend on your One Handed ability.
It would only get a few tosses before it requires recharging. You could only use a Grand/Black soul gem with a Grand soul inside (to prevent overuse).
This dagger would not work on creatures or Daedric enemies; Only humanoids.
Retrieval of the dagger would depend on a few factors.
Inside a body: You would have to sneak up to the person and "Remove Dagger". Interaction with the dagger would take precedence over Pickpocketing.
Otherwise: The dagger is enchanted to return if it does not collide with a target. It would fly straight out, reach its distance limit, and fly straight back to your hands.
Colliding with any target other than a humanoid would result in the dagger fizzling and falling to the ground. This would make it possible to lose the dagger if you threw it a wall and did not retrieve it.
Coating the dagger with any kind of poison would simply result in a failure of the control of the target. One would still have to remove the dagger from them. This also prevents the dagger from becoming overpowered through the use of poisons that increase the Illusion skill, for example. Many other poison combinations would break this already powerful item. So simply enough it cannot be enchanted or have any poisons applied.
It would be called Puppeteer's Shiv.

I don't mean to be rude in continuously asking, but is there an update available or a rule we missed on the timing of the shipping?
If it is possible that I or we have overlooked something please let us know. :-)

It would be a large Two-Handed Sword made of Rock from the very pits of the world. It would have cracks in the blade, this is where there will be a magic glow from inside of this weapon. A blue essence will surround it. The very power of the weapon could knock the strongest of monsters off of their feet or maybe even give them an instant death.
Thanks for listening
